NB: This community is a very informal collection of conversations by scholarly-minded friends, not a published reference work. While we do go back and edit posts, no serious effort is made to keep the contents as a whole up to date. This means earlier posts may contain information and speculations that are superseded by later posts, or by information that came up in our conversations but never made it to this community. Before citing anything you find here, we suggest leaving a comment to ask whether we still believe what we wrote, and if so, with what confidence based on our sources. We are rigorous in our source criticism, which is why our beliefs are ever-evolving, but we are not rigorous about communicating everything we know in this community.
