GIP: Menzel and Music

To wit, a selection of icons by yours truly taken from Menzel's iconic paintings, on a general musical theme. (For more on Menzel's 19th century painterly look on Fritz and the impact it had, see here.

First, there's our flute-playing antihero, from "Flute concert at Sanssouci".




Next, we have Franz Benda, vom "Crown Prince Friedrich visits the painter Pesne at Rheinsberg":



Then there's Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach from "Flute Concert":




Two musicians who aren't depicted playing: Amalie (from a study for "Flute Concert") and Wilhelmine (from "Flute Concert"):
